I did a shoot for Nintendo a while back but never saw the photos. A friend of mine saw this at Costco and snapped a shot. Awesome nerdery! :)
Back in October, art photographer Christina Storozkova and I met up in Dallas, Texas. We rented a car and drove all night, through a torrential thunder/lightning/rain storm — running on caffeine and art-fueled adrenaline. We arrived in Valentine, Texas at dawn — ideal light for Christina to photograph the art installation “Prada Marfa.” Check out her blog. She is amazing.
An excerpt from Christina’s photo blog: Somewhere in the middle of the Texas desert is a Prada store. A promise of civilization. Except its doors are locked. The items from the Fall/Winter 2005 collection can be viewed through the three-eighths-inch-thick bullet-resistant polycarbonate windows. Its shelves are stocked with things that you can never have. It’s Art. Maggie and I drove through the night from Dallas in order to reach this Futile Mecca of Consumerism by sunrise.
We had a blast.

Smelly.
This is a poem to people who smell
It’s not that I hate you
or wish you unwell
But being around you is really unpleasant
It’s hard to relax when you smell like a pheasant
So here is what I would recommend —
Find some deodorant,
and make it your friend.
The End.
A short film the team and I put together over a weekend to test out the new AF-100 and also have a little fun bringing good folks back together. Writing, acting, editing, and some producing by moi. Enjoy! :)
Some fun photos from summer 2011 take by Peter Scott (on his iPhone) in Death Valley at dawn. Cinematic, surreal and amazing.
